And the votes are in. The 64th Annual Primetime Awards aired last night. Did your favorite shows win?
The big winners for the night were Modern Family and Homeland who won for Best Comedy and Best Drama, respectively.
Game Change won for Best Miniseries. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart won for Outstanding Variety Series and got tackled to the ground by Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert.
Claire Danes and Damien Lewis both won for Homeland in the Leading Actress and Actor, respectively. Julia Louis-Dreyfus won for Veep in the Leading Actress in a Comedy category and Jon Cryer won for Two and a Half Men in the Leading Actor in a Comedy category. However, it’s because the Modern Family cast decided to go up for the honor in the Supporting Cast category. Eric Stonestreet and Julie Bowen took the honors that evening.
Other notable winners were Aaron Paul for Breaking Bad in the Supporting Actor in a Drama category and the Maggie Smith (aka Dowager Countess) for Downton Abbey in the Supporting Actress in a Drama category. For a full list of the winners, go to www.emmys.com.
