It’s been awhile that I spoke about something non-TV related in this post. Matchbox Twenty released a new album, “North” back in September.
The song that they’re promoting is “She’s So Mean”. In true Matchbox Twenty fashion, I found it catchy right away. It’s kinda like the opposite of “Last Beautiful Girl” but whimsical like “Mad Season”.
But even more, I’ve been loving “Put Your Hands Up”. It’s got this electronic retro 60’s pop vibe to it.
Matchbox Twenty – Put Your Hands Up
No matter what genre of music they do, I always find them really easy to listen to and enjoyable. Then, their lyrics add another layer. Whether it’s poetic or just sarcastic, the words are engaging on their own. While I may not love every single song on this album, there are plenty of tracks here to keep me occupied. I’m glad to have them back after what it seemed like a long hiatus.
