[Review] As One/Korea – 코리아

The movie follows the 1991 International Table Tennis Championships in Chiba, Japan.  It was the first time since the Korean War that North Korea and South Korea created a unified team. South Korean Hyun Jung Hwa (Ha Ji Won) and North Korean Rhee Boon Hee (Bae Doo Na) must put aside their differences in order to beat the frontrunner, China, and win the gold for their team.

[Review] The King 2 Hearts – 더킹 투하츠

ALL HAIL THE KING AND QUEEN

Set in a world where the Korean monarchy is still in power in the South, Prince Lee Jae Ha (Lee Seung Gi) meets his match in a North Korean female soldier, Kim Hang Ah (Ha Ji Won).

After a sour first impression, Jae Ha and Hang Ah work through their differences and mistrust to bring about peace between the two Koreas.  Eventually the two fall madly in love.

[Review] Sector 7 3D – 7광구 3D

SLIMY MONSTER POPPING OUT AT THEATERS NEAR YOU

Sector 7 is a big deal for Korean cinema as it is one of the first movies to make a foray into the 3D-verse.  Personally, I’m not a big fan of 3D movies as all the shaking from the action scenes cause me a headache therefore making it hard to focus on the narrative but I think the movie did a great job in this inaugural venture.
