Eun Hwan Ki (Yeon Woo Jin) is the CEO of a public relations company, except that he is extremely introverted. Despite that he’s incredibly warmhearted, his employees fear him as he is often misunderstood and difficult to get close to. On the other hand, Chae Ro Woon (Park Hye Soo) is energetic and outgoing. She decides to give up her career in acting to work at the PR company but has other motives for working there. Her older sister had previously worked as Hwan Ki’s assistant and mysteriously committed suicide and Ro Woon has never come to terms with why her sister decided to take her own life but believes that Hwan Ki was somehow involved.
For those who were fans of Another Oh Hae Young, there’s another drama that started early this year that will give you the same vibes as that drama. Introverted Boss stars Yeon Woo Jin in the title role and I’ve been meaning to watch another drama with him since I was drawn to his acting in Arang and the Magistrate. There always seemed to be one reason or another as to why it just didn’t work out so even though I’m overwhelmed with watching dramas at the moment, I just wanted to make sure I didn’t pass this one up.
I realize that Episodes 5 and 6 have been preempted this week but there are a lot of things I like about the drama so I’m hoping that the rewrites will help the drama instead of hurt it. The drama is about Eun Hwan Ki (Yeon Woo Jin) who deals with having severe social anxiety to the point where he has a hard time being around people outside of his immediate family and close friends. His social anxiety cripples him as he is the head of his family’s PR and marketing company.
In high school, Just Oh Hae Young (Seo Hyun Jin) was always envious of Pretty Oh Hae Young’s (Jun Hye Bin) life as she was not only pretty but smart and nice. Sharing the same name did not make life any easier on Oh Hae Young. However, Hae Young has become pretty satisfied with her life. She has a steady job, a handsome fiancé and she looked forward to their upcoming nuptials. That is, until Han Tae Jin (Lee Jae Yoon) abruptly breaks it off the day before their wedding.
The truth of the matter is Tae Jin broke things off as he was facing jail time for corrupt business practices. Using his connections with a powerful CEO, Park Do Kyung (Eric) was instrumental in breaking the happy couple up due to a slight misunderstanding. He assumed “Oh Hae Young” was the same Oh Hae Young who left him at the altar one year ago. Learning of the misunderstanding, Do Kyung begins to see visions of the future involving him and Hae Young.
