End of the Year TV Report (2016): Part 1

I never seem to be getting any better at this procrastination thing.  But I’m officially done with all of my full-length reviews of 2016.  Here’s a better-late-than-never recap of the K-Drama year.

The rating system:

Must Watch – Watch and watch again.
Watch – Entertained.
Just OK – Just alright.  Nothing more, nothing less.
If you’re bored – It’s not the worst but that’s not a compliment either.
Pass – Not worth the time.

[Review] Marriage Contract – 결혼계약

THE OLD BALL AND CHAIN OF A CONTRACT MARRIAGE

Kang Hye Soo (Uee) is a single mother who struggles to raise her young daughter, Cha Eun Sung (Shin Rin Ah), while paying off her late husband’s debts.  Han Ji Hoon (Lee Seo Jin) is the illegitimate son of a chaebol.  Upon hearing that his mother is need of a liver transplant, he goes on a search to find a match and decides to get one through a contract marriage as a last resort.  Hye Soo figures it’s an easy way to get out of debt but discovers that she has an inoperable brain tumor.  She decides to move forward with the contract marriage in hopes that the money she leaves behind will be enough to support her daughter.

Late Spring TV Report (2016)

THINK I DO REMEMBER HOW TO DO ONE OF THESE POSTS

It’s been so long since I last did one of these that I don’t know if I remember how to do one.  I don’t think I did one once last year but I’m going to try to better about getting these out.  It’s nice to be able to talk about shows that are currently running.  There are times when I start off loving a show only to be disappointed at the end.  Also, there are those American shows that I don’t have the time to do full reviews or shows that I’ve given up midway that it’s a nice way to recap some thoughts on those shows.

Just Bananas About: Week of 3/14/16

Happy Pi Day!  Which is always an excuse to have the other pie, but I digress.  Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of weekend dramas.  A new one that started up relatively recently is Marriage Contract with Lee Seo Jin and Uee.  It’s not a very unique story but I really like the cast so I’ve decided to give it a go.
