End of the Year TV Report (2016): Part 2

I’m finally getting around to Part 2 of this review.  However, it looks like I won’t be able to complete Part 3 until after I return from vacation.

The rating system:

Must Watch – Eyes glued… To the chocolate abs.
Watch – Well, heeeey there good lookin’
Just OK – Mildly entertaining at times but I’m here for the pretty boys.
If you’re bored – Sorry, you’re pretty but I’m just not that into you.
Pass – You might be pretty but not that pretty enough

Late Spring TV Report (2016)

THINK I DO REMEMBER HOW TO DO ONE OF THESE POSTS

It’s been so long since I last did one of these that I don’t know if I remember how to do one.  I don’t think I did one once last year but I’m going to try to better about getting these out.  It’s nice to be able to talk about shows that are currently running.  There are times when I start off loving a show only to be disappointed at the end.  Also, there are those American shows that I don’t have the time to do full reviews or shows that I’ve given up midway that it’s a nice way to recap some thoughts on those shows.

Just Bananas About: Week of 3/7/16

I’m amused that each of the Answer Me 1988 actors are similar to their characters in the drama.  From Ahn Jae Hong’s 4D personality to Ryu Joon Yeol’s dry wit, I think I’m most amused by Park Bo Gum’s dopiness.  Certainly this past episode showcased that to its fullest.

Just Bananas About: Week of 2/22/16

I have been waiting for this edition of Youth Over Flowers in Africa. Yes, in part because I loved Answer Me 1988 and don’t want to let go of it. Also, in part because the previous Youth Over Flowers in Iceland was funny but everything looked so cold and broadcasted during a really time in the States that all I could think about was being cold. So I’m really glad that we get to see them in a warmer climate, at least on the screen. Plus, I can’t get over the news reports about how the cast was basically kidnapped from their post drama vacation trip. I literally just hear Hye Ri’s laughter in that video (from the Candid Camera variety show) when she finds out the news having just returned to her work schedule from Phuket herself.

End of the Year TV Report (2014): Part 2

Onto currently airing K-Drama and K-Variety programs. Although lately, I haven’t been watching very many K-Dramas but I am keeping my eye out for a few new dramas that are expected to start airing soon.

The rating system – the karaoke edition:

Must Watch – Perfect score!
Watch – You could have a great career in singing.
Just OK – It’s not that bad.
If you’re bored – Please put in a little more effort next time.
Pass – *covers ears*

Just Bananas About: Week of 9/19/14

After the end of the Peru trip on Youth Over Flowers, I spent like a week wondering what awful thing Na PD did next to the boys from Answer Me 1994 for their trip to Laos.  Well we got our answer last Friday and it’s pretty awful.  And what I mean by awful is AWESOME.

Roo’ra – 3!4!

룰라 – 3!4!

Just Bananas About: Week of 8/8/14

Youth Over Flowers totally sneaked up on me. The show premiered last week and I think when I first saw the promos for this show I was in the undecided camp. Sure, it funny in the way that we’ve come to expect for the “Flowers” series but while I enjoyed the last season of Grandpas Over Flowers, it didn’t have that same zing as the Grandpas’ first season.

Will Youth Over Flowers live up to the hype? Yes, yes, it does. Oh, how conniving you are Na PD and it makes me love you all the more.
