End of the Year TV Report (2013): Part 1

Oy, I know I’m so late in writing this but I do have a reason (or excuse) of sorts.  You can read that below when I sum up the year.  For now, it’s time to assess all the moments that caused some serious swooning, nail-biting and eye rolling K-Drama moments.  Here is a list of dramas that I’ve watch which have completed in 2013.

The rating system goes:

Must Watch – So good that it hurts to let go.
Watch – Enjoyable
Just OK – Not bad but not great.
If you’re bored – Could be downgraded to Pass at any moment but worked well as background noise.
Pass – Pissed off that I wasted my time.

[Review] Dating Agency; Cyrano – 연애조작단; 시리노

MATCHMAKER, MATCHMAKER, MAKE ME A MATCH

Meet the Cyrano Agency.  The masterminds behind tailoring romantic scenarios for your needs.  Seo Byung Hoon (Lee Jong Hyuk) directs his team to help match mates in order to raise money to save the Cyrano Theater.  He crosses paths with a romanticist, Gong Min Young (Choi Soo Young), who just resist helping people fall in love.  Working at a restaurant across the way is Cha Seung Pyo (Lee Chun Hee) who keeps a close eye on the agency.

Jive Monkey Playlist: 6/28/13

There are days when I struggle to figure out what song I’m going to write about for this post.  And other days when I have too much to write about one band/musician.  This week I have too many artists that I want to feature.  They all moved me in some way that I didn’t want to put off one or two of them until next week.  Two are indie bands: one is a brand, spankin’ new discovery while the other is a band I’ve kinda been following over the years.  And the last artist is someone I covered not too long ago but I just couldn’t help it.  All the songs are definitely being replayed on my iPod over and over again so it left me no choice but to share why I’m moved by these songs.

Just Bananas About: Week of 6/17/13

Sometimes Mondays and Tuesday programs tend not to make most of my Bananas posts due to the fact that practically a week goes by before I’m writing it.  However, I have been enjoying TVN’s next installation of their Flower Boys series: Dating Agency; Cyrano.  It’s based off the 2010 movie Cyrano; Dating Agency.  Don’t ask me why they’ve switched the order in the title but at least it helps to figure out which is which.
