End of the Year TV Report (2015): Part 3

This last one is gonna be a tough one as I did not do a good job in keeping up with all of my usual American/British shows. In the last few weeks of the 2015 and until now, I’ve been trying to bingewatch on as much as I could, one series at a time. I got through some but not all so I guess my New Years’ resolution is to catch up as there are new series starting up soon!

The ratings, courtesy of Adele lyrics, are as follows:

Must Watch – “Sweetest Devotion” – The sweetest devotion hit me like an explosion
Watch – “Hello” – Hello from the other side…
Just OK – “All I Ask” – All I ask is if this is my last night with you, hold me like I’m more than just a friend
If you’re bored – “Can’t Let Go” – When did it go wrong, I will never know
Pass – “Remedy” – When the world seems so cruel and your heart makes you feel like a fool

Fiiinally…  Apologies for the extreme delays on this last one. I was playing catch-up with a number of the American/British shows has caused a delay with this report.  Yes, I was that far behind.

Mid-Fall TV Report (2013): Part 2

THE SEASONS, THEY KEEP A CHANGIN’

Now for Part 2, covering what I didn’t get a chance to cover in Part 1.  Mainly the new American and British shows with a sprinkling of the Korean ones.  Didn’t quite get to all the reviews I wanted to get to but at least I’ll cover most of them here.

Just Bananas About: Week of 11/4/13

When Haven ended its last season, let’s say I was disappointed.  However, the great thing about American shows is that they have the ability to redeem itself with their new season.  We last left off with Audrey and Duke entering the barn and disappearing and Nathan is left while meteorites fall to Earth.

It took quite a few episodes before Audrey/Lexie (Emily Rose) returned to Haven as she was stuck in alternate reality within the barn while Duke (Eric Balfour) was promptly ejected out into Boston.  Discovering that six months had gone by, Duke sought out Nathan (Lucas Bryant) who has since left the police force.  Duke and Nathan work on getting Audrey back and the Guard aims to kill Nathan for causing the Troubles to continue and abandoning Haven.  With Audrey’s return, the Guard thinks all their problems will be solved when she kills Nathan but she’s now taken on a new personality, Lexie.  So it’s upon Nathan to make Lexie fall in love with him again despite the fact that he’s still in love with Audrey.  The only thing is that Audrey is pretending to be Lexie in order to save Nathan.

Late Spring TV Report (2013)

SO MANY TV SHOWS, SO LITTLE TIME

It hasn’t been too long since my last TV rundown but there are so many new shows that it was about time.  Just a note about my American shows: I’m a bit behind on quite a few shows.  I noted them where possible but there are some shows where I’m even a month behind.  It’s been a busy, busy spring.  However, I’m more likely to sacrifice sleep for an addicting show rather than stay up for a mediocre one.

Late Summer TV Report (2012)

DID YOU FEEL THAT CHANGE IN THE WIND?

You know, it’s funny.  This past Spring, I felt that Korean TV was having a really strong season.  The Americans and British tube just seemed bleh.  However, we were due for a reversal. The Americans have been having a super strong summer season.  Not that I’m not digging any of the new Korean dramas because there are some that I’ve been thoroughly loving.  However, the volume of Korean dramas that I’ve been watching has decreased some since the Spring.  So let’s get down it.

Early Summer TV Report (2012)

NOT QUITE A HOT, HOT SUMMER YET BUT THE TV IS SIZZLING

It’s technically not summer yet but once Memorial Day comes around I’m already in a summery kind of mood.  I was actually waiting for Big to start up before I got into another round of these.  Plus, there’s a lot American shows that I didn’t really get to do reviews of and planning to do a quick rundown here.  So here we go…

[Review] Warehouse 13 – Summer 2011

NEW TEAMMATE, NEW BIG BAD

Season 3 starts with Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) no longer being a Warehouse agent.  During a mission where the team tries to track down Jimmy Hendrix’ guitar, they come across a curious ATF agent, Steve Jinks (Aaron Ashmore), who has the ability to tell when people are lying.  Jinks becomes part of the team this season as the Warehouse fights a mysterious bad guy who is determined to destroy all the Regents (Warehouse’s governing board) and the warehouse itself.
